Spelkollektivet is a game dev commune founded by @JamesNewnorth, a place where indie devs live, sleep, and work, all under one roof. And they're being foreclosed on: https://gofund.me/16fdbd353

After being 12 years rusty with game development, they were more than happy to take me in, and I was able to make Faceless Assassin.

So I guess that makes it MY community now too. Better games you might have heard of developed in part or whole at Spel include Spilled!, Death and Taxes, Omelet You Cook, and more. In fact, here's of all the Newgrounds games I could find that were made in the house.

If you're into game dev, you have to check out this place. I don't know of another place like it on Earth. I guess I think of Newgrounds and Spelkollektivet as kindred spirits. Old-school places where profit margins aren't prioritized so much as a democratic place where the creativity of video games thrive, and because of that, suffer in an economy that's overly focused on profits, and is so held up by the people who believe in its inherent value.
